Under My Umbrella...Ella...Ella

It's April 1st! The countdown begins to flip flops, cargo pants, tank tops and tee shirts! Before you know it, weekends in The Hamptons will be listed on "the weekend escape" agenda (if it's not already)! But before we can jump a few months ahead, we still have April to get through. Get your umbrella's and raincoats ready to sing in the rain while clicking your heels together like Gene Kelly!

Bring out your fashionable galoshes and Sashay Shante! "You better work!" as RuPaul would say.

If you're like me, I don't like going out in the rain too much. However, I do find it to be romantic and the perfect excuse to stay in and burn Helen Julia candles. Pearl Drop scented in grapefruit, lemongrass and lavender is the perfect candle to burn while you're indoors doing your spring cleaning on that rainy day!

Pretty In Pastels

Hello Tuesday! This week we are inspired by pastels to kick-off spring and Easter! With gloomy weather ahead that April showers bring, let's look on the brighter side of all pastel things. OK, that was very Dr. Seuss!

I fell in love with this image. It's glamorous, romantic and fun all at the same time. Helen Julia's "I Do" candle scented in rose bouquet has the same affect. ;)

Fortunately, I didn't bake these cupcakes! But they are SO GOOD to look at without the temptation of wanting one or two (let's be honest)! I'd prefer to admire from a distance! How appropriate are these cupcakes to match the image above. What a nice pastel combination!
