It's official! Today is the first day of summer! Woo hoo! Now this is the way to kick-off a Monday to start the week! Hello Monday!

Great weather brings a positive atmosphere and fun activities. Bike riding, going to the beach, free concerts at the local park, romantic picnics, weekend getaways in the hamptons and polo match events (my next venture on my summer to do's) are just a few fun things that get me excited about summer months!

We are already working on our third week of the New Year! I hope the new year is off to a great start for you! With a New Year brings cold frigid temperatures during the month of January. Christmas is just 4 days away... "On the fourth day of Christmas my true love gave to me four calling birds, three french hens, two turtle doves and a partridge in a pear tree". If you are anything like me the anxiety begins the week of Christmas. I cannot wait to give and receive gifts. Love is in the air and everyone is extra kind this week (excluding those bah humbuggers)!

Feel Good Mondays: Be Kind

We are smack-dab in the middle of holiday season and the pressure is on! Whether we're ready or not, everything surrounding us is a constant reminder the holidays are here. With that said, be kind to those who may not be as fortunate during this time of year. Sweet gestures like "thank you", expressing a small token of appreciation or even extend a hug to someone who may need it will go a very long way.

Hug someone today just because it is a kind gesture to offer. Generosity is giving more than you can, and pride is taking less than you need.

Feel Good Mondays: Take The Edge Off!

That time of year is officially here! Holiday Season!!! We can all use "something" to take the edge off from the spending frenzy we are pressured into! So, with that said I have to refer and suggest this product that I have recently tried a few days ago... INA CRYSTALS! Ohhh Myyy Goodnesss!!! I am not referring to a Chucky Doll from the movie Child's Play, although Halloween is just a few days away! There's nothing that feels good about a horror flick with creepy characters (who am I kidding). I'm referring to great friends that are by your side through thick and thin.

Friends are your family. The ones you can call on for anything and everything. When you just need an ear to listen to you without any judgment. Someone to be your date on date night when you've been stood up. You can trust them to be completely honest without sugarcoating what you need to hear. They are a great support system and your dream team.

Good friends come and go. Great friends are around for a lifetime. This is dedicated to my great friends who have stuck around through the season, did not need a reason and are still around for a lifetime! Do you know who your great friends are?

This is not about one of many Tyler Perry movies. However, this is about the cutest commercial I've seen reflecting on fatherhood. This commercial totally put a smile on my face while trying to fight the emotion of my eyes welling up from joy as I reminisce about my father. There is a comfort that overcomes you when watching this commercial on a father spending time with his daughter in the most memorable way that she will remember for the rest of her life!

Ahhh... Fall is here! The cool brisk breeze and early sundown are signs it's a new season and a chance to start over fresh! Doesn't that feel good! Let's get rid of the old and bring in the new. Leaves will begin to change colors for a beautiful scene of fall foliage. You're already cuddling up on the couch with your cable knit blanket while you burn your Helen Julia Candle. ;) My favorite term for this time of year is "Lovey Dovey" season. I know I skipped a few Monday's! The long labor day weekend and being hit with the reality summer is really over, it took a while for me to get back into the groove of things! But we're back!

Okay, so over the weekend I had a flashback moment... Flashdance that is! A total 80's flick with 80's hair and 80's apparel! I had a feel good moment and wanted to share it with you. What are the things that make you feel young again? Is it a retro teenage chick flick with Kristy McNichols, listening to an old classic tune while you reminisce about careless activities or browsing through old photos to remind you how carefree life felt at one time in your life? Whatever that moment, movie or photo is, use it as a constant reminder each day that it is not about how old we are but how we feel.
